Mates in Bowls is a fun way to spend a summer evening
On Tuesday evenings during the summer friends, family, work mates, and college pupils get a team together
for leisurely games of Lawn Bowls.
The Club has been enjoying Mates in Bowls for several years and we can register up to 32 teams.
When
Our Mates in Bowls Programme for 2024 has started again on Tuesday evenings in the run up to Xmas.
Play starts at 6.00pm sharp and teams turn up from 5.30 to order BBQ sausages and purchase Raffle tickets (optional).
MiB players also get invites to other social bowling events held at the Club over summer.
Registration
You can register as a team or as individuals. For the latter we will help you make up teams who will play together for the block.
The fee is $150 per team of 4 per block payable with registration. Additional teams and individuals welcome and may pre-pay for part of the summer 2024.

Who
Organise friends, work-mates, family members or College pupils to enjoy some good company and relaxed competition on the greens.
Youngsters are welcome but need to be teens (12+ or so) … the bowling balls are adult size and may be heavy for youngsters.
Never played before ? … doesn’t matter … you’ll learn in 5 minutes or less. Don’t have a team ? … doesn’t matter … we’ll find you one. All you need is some flat shoes.
The summer of 2024
The season gets underway on Tuesday 12th November, and what we’re looking forward to is a bit of settled weather and no interruptions.
The greens are in great condition for this time of the year and will only get better as summer progresses. This will encourage some pretty good bowling.
Bowls are provided, with team prizes, free tea and coffee; food and the bar will be open.
