Men & Women

Hutt Bowling Club is inclusive for all, offering a range of bowling options for competitive as well as social players. Our two outdoor lawn greens are high quality and are available for corporate, social, casual and Mates in Bowls players as part of the Club’s strong commitment to increasing community involvement in bowls. Our season starts in September and runs through to early May with local club, and interclub competitions

Happening at the Club

Once again a fine weekend to play the first two rounds of the mixed pairs and the semi final and final of the men’s triples.
The mixed pairs have five qualifiers to date but several more are needing to play their third game in order to qualify. These games and post section will be played next weekend.
The men’s semi finals were won by the John Forde skipped team, with Russell Dive and Brian Simmons and the Nigel Musgrave skipped team with Rodney Mead and Bruce Woodhouse.
The final was won by Nigel’s team – congratulations to everyone, it was a good game to watch.
The results of last week’s men’s pennants were:
Div 1 – 2 losses
Div 2 – a win and a loss
Div 3 – 2 losses

The women’s pairs final played during the week was won by Rosa and Mary beating Alison and Meryle.
Our juniors (Nicki Tainui and Peter Ingham) competing in the Champion of Champions Singles played on Sunday were beaten in the first round, both had very close losses over formidable opponents.
